THE ORIGINAL

The story of Fingerairboard began in 1996 with a spark of inspiration during a drive. At just 16, Daniel held a phone card out the car window and felt it slice through the air like a miniature surfboard. That simple, exhilarating moment planted the seed for the idea that would become the “Fingerairboard.”

By 2002, Daniel and his best friend Moritz turned that idea into reality, patenting the concept of Fingerairboarding. To bring the vision to life, they partnered with Fabi, a product designer who refined the prototypes and packaging, and Pad, a graphic designer who gave the boards their distinctive, eye-catching look. Their hard work paid off when they debuted their first boards at Munich’s ISPO Brand New Award, receiving an incredible response.

In 2010, the team expanded their lineup with the launch of the “Pro Board,” a premium model designed for surf and skate shops, and the “Flat-Shape” board, an affordable alternative for beginners. The Fingerairboard community grew rapidly, fueled by festivals, contests, and events like ASI Berlin, the Fast Fingers World Championship, and the Kite and Windsurf World Cups.

Now, the journey comes full circle with their latest creation. Combining the best features of the Pro Board and Flat-Shape, the new foldable design is both innovative and practically unbreakable. Join the movement and become part of this extraordinary story!
